家常便饭馆

I was attracted to visit this restaurant because of a very funny noodle name called "Cat Mee" (猫面). I brought my family members to try the Cat Mee. This restaurant serves many types of Cat Mee and we tried dry curry (干咖喱), salty chicken (咸鸡), salty fish pork (咸鱼花腩) and Mei Cai Kou Rou (梅菜扣肉) of cat mee. But, we're not satisfy, not really delicious especially the salty chicken mee which is not salty at all. Luckily I did order San Pei chicken (三杯鸡) which can satisfy our dietary.

Win Soon Cafe Fish Head Noodle (阿顺生虾鱼头米)

Win Soon Cafe is selling one of yummy fish head noodle in Town. Its specialty is the prawn fish head noodle (生虾鱼头米) - RM13.80 (photo 3). Expensive? Then you can try its fish head noodle (RM6.90; photo 1) or fish paste noodle (RM6.90; photo 2) if you don't like to eat fish head. Only one word to the food "YUMMY"!!! What are you waiting for?? Go and try quickly. Another advice from me, try not go there during lunch which is very crowded. Rushing for food is not enjoying!

Penang Lim Chew Thin Tau Foo Far 林秋聽豆腐花

Recently found a road side stall, just opposite of Hotel Sri Petaling (or in front on 7-11) that selling Tau Foo Far with good response (you can see it from the photo yourself). I believe most of the customer go to try this stall is due to they are attracted by its huge signage on top of the stall with colorful lighting, included myself.

I tried it and only can say NOT BAD.

Poor Comment: 翠谷海鮮飯店

I believe this is the first restaurant that I wanted to award it "Poor Restaurant". I accidentally spent my dinner here due to my targeted restaurant (one of the most happening restaurant in Sri Petaling, near hotel Sri Petaling) was crowded that time.

I ordered 4 dishes but all are taste bad. Don't believe? Go and try it yourself!

A Quiet Place in PJ Section 17 but with Nice Food

Sometime you can find very nice food in a quiet place. You will surprise when you visit Khasiat Restaurant located at Section 17 Petaling Jaya. First you can find the famous beef noodle in PJ - "Uncle Cheng Special Beef Noodle (老鄭牛腩粉)". Uncle Cheng specialty is the dry beef noodle, really special and nice but bit expensive which will cost RM7.++ if not mistaken. (Sorry can't recall the price, I ate it last month :P)

Besides Uncle Cheng stall, you can find a stall is selling Steam Chee Cheong Fun (蒸豬腸粉), also very special. Even I was very full after took the beef noodle but still insisted to order the steam Chee Cheong Fun. No regret to order it but unfortunately couldn't finish. My stomach was very full! Am I greedy? Anyway it only cost you RM3.00 per plate. The cooking style just similar to steam fish with tofu, salty vege, tomato plus Chinese liquor.

Bakpia Pathok

Almost half month didn't make any post here. May be you will suspect me no money to spend for dinning due to fuel price hike!! No matter how, we still need to eat to survive. No food will die! Please budgeting yourself and it will help you still can enjoy nice besides saving money.

This post is not sharing about the dining place but to share with you a Indonesian pastry named "Bakpia Pathok". Bakpia is one of the specialties in Yogyakarta and named after a "suburb" in this city (Pathok) where these sweet pastry originated.

My sister bought it back from Yogyakarta when she went there to visit Borobudur. I wanted to go together but couldn't make it due to no budget for travel this year, even the trip only cost you RM1k. No company bonus, no travel budget.

The Bakpias bought by my sister are small round-shaped and stuffed with mung beans in different flavors such as original, chocolate and cheese. I prefer original taste of Bakpia which is very nice. Chocolate taste too sweet and Cheese flavor tastes cheese less.

Must bring this back as souvenir to your friends if you are planning to visit Borobudur in Indonesia.

Famous Japanese Ramen in Seri Kembangan 日本菠菜拉面

One of the crowded food stall in Seri Kembangan is selling Japanese Ramen. I seldom go there for dinner because I hate to queue for food. To me, the taste just similar to normal noodle soup. But why so crowded all the time? According to the shown picture of Ramen, please guess how much will cost you to have that noodle? The noodle is serve with vege, fish balls, corns, see weed, fried ikan bilis, etc.

The answer is RM3.00!!! I would say hard to find cheap food nowaday, especially in Klang Valley. No wonder so many people dine there and I believe most of them are university students (UPM / UNITEN / MMU).

Grill King (Hainan Western)

When you decided to dine at Restaurant Grill King, I would recommend you to try Yakitori. There are 4 flavors of Yakitori: Pork, Chicken, Beef and Lamb. I tried Yakitori Pork, really ICHIBAN!! But you need to order minimum 3 sticks of same flavor. You also can try Wat Tan Hor, one of the famous food in Grill King. Not bad and worth to try..... Besides Asian food, they also serve western food such as steak, chicken chop, etc.

A good place for tea break - Pastis Cafe

Just found another place good for afternoon tea break in The Gardens called Pastis Cafe. Its Boston Cheese Cake (RM11.00) is very nice and cheesy with ice-cream in between (I feel is ice-cream but not confirm). It will melt in your mouth too! Must try!!

But remember don't take the fresh juice which will cost RM10.50 per cup. I tried the watermelon fresh juice and regretted. Buy from roadside stall taste better :P
