Karmel Cafe (侨群茶室) is selling the most famous Mee Soto in Tawau. But, very surprise that the chef is Chinese, not Malay. The Mee Soto served with different toppings for customer to choose, such as seafood, beef, etc. I tried Mee Soto with beef. The taste is good and totally different from what sold by Malay style Mee Soto.Besides, the cream tart sold here (the one looks like UFO) also very nice. Noticed that most of the chinese restaurant will sell bread, tart, etc. during tea time hours. Not like KL, only manage to get it from bakery shops. I believe Sabah like to enjoy tea time break, don't they?
