A good place for tea break - Pastis Cafe

Just found another place good for afternoon tea break in The Gardens called Pastis Cafe. Its Boston Cheese Cake (RM11.00) is very nice and cheesy with ice-cream in between (I feel is ice-cream but not confirm). It will melt in your mouth too! Must try!!

But remember don't take the fresh juice which will cost RM10.50 per cup. I tried the watermelon fresh juice and regretted. Buy from roadside stall taste better :P

Cova Cafe, Lounge & Bistro

This time, I tried Cova Cafe located at 1st floor of The Gardens. I was looking quite place to have my lunch with my partner, so we entered this restaurant which was no customer that time, about 12.30 noon (from the photo you already know).

I ordered Miso Clams Soba but the waitress told me no Clams today and the chef will replace it with seafood. Actually I wanted to change to dolly fish fillet but was told "sorry sir, no dolly today". No choice, still stick with my first choice. Then my partner ordered Strawberry and Mascarporne Cheese Parfait.

Strawberry and Mascarporner Cheese Parfait was served first. Actually she wanted to have cheese cake but this dessert seem can't satisfy her. After finish, she immediately ordered Strawberry Cheese Cake but still can't fulfill her cheese hunger. About my Miso Seafood (not Clams) Soba, quite nice. It served with 2 big prawns, 3 big scallops, 2 mussels and some squids which are very fresh. Really worth for value!! I like the seafood and miso soup but don't like Soba taste. I quickly requested red chillies from waitress to cover the soba taste.

Only saw crowd in this cafe after 1pm. Anyway, the only disadvantage I could see from this cafe is its sky juice is chargeable at RM1.00 per glass. They should not do that while others don't.

Flying Chillies

Today, I have spent RM48.00 (exclude tax and service charge) for 2 persons' food & beverage at Flying Chillies, a thai food restaurant located in The Gardens Shopping Complex, Mid Valley City. We planned to have our lunch at Taiwan restaurant but unfortunately that restaurant was crowded. So, we decided change dining place.

We walked for another few metres away from the Taiwan Restaurant and suddenly noticed the signage "Flying Chillies, Simply Thailicious". Chillies also can fly???

Without second thougth, we walked in and started to explore their F&B menu. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a white interior and neon bar and heard "Sa Wa Ti Kap" by waitress. We sit down and immediate ordered "Bangkok Favourite Noodle in Spicy Food Soup w Seafood", "Stewed Beef Noodle", "Watermelon Fresh Juice" and "Red Ruby Water Chestnuts in Coconut Milk".

The taste of food and dessert we ordered, really can satisfy us and quite nice. Bangkok Favourite Noodle bit spicy but I still manage to finish it. It comes with remark "1 chillie" in the menu. 1 Chillie already quite hot, if go for the food marked with "2 chillies", then will become dinasour with fire on the mouth :P

In term of food taste and environment, it worth for money. Anyway, I manage to get additional 10% discount since they are running promotion with credit card companies. Card holder of CIMB or Direct Access, HSBC will enjoy the discount include their owm member (holding that member card) and California Card.

You should try it when you don't have any dining idea in The Gardens.
